Mollie's Senior Portraits

So I thought I was all done with seniors this season, and then I met Mollie! Mollie braved a very chilly Newport November day. But I think it was worth it, because we got some great foliage. We had such a late fall this year! We started with my :signature urban: session, and found some new spots I haven't used yet this year! We even got Mollie's boyfriend, Greg, in the pictures too! Thanks for having me photograph your portraits!!

Love love love. I've shot here sooo many times, but I never saw this red wall. Goes to show you that you CAN find new shots at an old location!

Probably my favorite from the session.

Something different!!

Look at that scene! I love New England!

Salsa Dancing!!

Here's a personal blog about my life. Now that the winter is approaching, I want to do more personal blogging so you can see what I do besides photograph!!

My boyfriend, James, and I took a salsa dance lesson in Cambridge, MA earlier this fall. (Why Cambridge you say? His sister, Michelle, dances there every week.) If any of my Boston clients are interested, here's the link: http://www.rylesjazz.com/event.cfm?event_id=2935 .

These are point-and-shoot-camera pictures:

Alumni Roundtable

Hi everyone! I'm back from all the traveling I've been doing this November. I vacationed in Bermuda for a week, and it was awesome! I took a lot of images, so I'll post those soon, once I get caught up with all the work I did before vacation. I also went back to my photography school, the Hallmark Institute of Photography, in Turners Falls, Massachusetts. Hallmark invited me to be on panel of alumni to speak to the resident student body. I participated last year as well, and I was really looking forward to it again this year. I loved photo school, and I love going back!! Here's a photo from their website: www.hallmark.edu

I'm in black, third seat from the right of the photo. This is so much fun! It was a great and comedic panel. This year's class is so talented and into school, I can't wait to see the work they produce.

Catherine & Charlie. Narrangasett Towers Wedding. October 19th, 2007.

Catherine and Charlie were married at The Towers in Narragansett on October 19th. The rain cleared for us to take some formals outside!! Being inside the towers makes me feel like I'm in a Colorado cabin spa resort, but then you look outside and there's the Atlantic Ocean! You can watch Catherine & Charlie's slideshow by clicking *here*. Congratulations to the both of you! Thanks for having me!!

Catering & Planning: Glorious Affairs.

Love this ring shot!

I love the feel of this image.

There's a really cute series of Catherine during the ceremony in the slideshow!

Sneaky, sneaky!!! They didn't know I was watching them from inside.

Erin & Chris. Greenvale Vineyard Wedding. October 13th, 2007.

Erin & Chris had a very Irish wedding on October 13th! As I drove up Broadway on the way to Jesus Saviour Church, I could hear the bagpipers awaiting all the guests. Erin had 5 beautiful, Irish flowergirls, that were totally adorable. We took some relaxed portraits at the Newport Art Museum, Second Beach and of course, the vineyard! I was so excited for vineyard pictures!! Erin also carried a truly unique bouquet of crimson snapdragons--her favorite flower. And, like usual, there's a slideshow. You can see it by clicking H-E-R-E It's set to Erin & Chris' first dance song, "Come Away With Me" by Nora Jones.

Flowers: The Water's Edge, Newport
Band: Image Band
Catering: West Bay Gourmet

I'm really into columns and stone work this year!!

I love this. The Art Museum is great, just because there's so many little things there to use to create a different look in every image.

I was in a very portrait-y mood this day!

Hiding from the camera!!! =)

Some fun art at the museum!

I really wanted to showcase this unique arrangement.

Making the best of strong, harsh light. I think this almost looks exotic--like the Mexico or something!

West Bay Gourmet does these great magenta lights under the tent. They serve really amazing food. I've eaten with them a few times this season!! I love their pumpkin tortellini and their olive bread!

Congratulations!! Thanks for having me!!!
