Parent Albums!

Happy Holidays! =)

I didn't mean to abandon the blog for a week and a half! I've been slaving over holiday orders, sessions and ALLLLBBBUUUMSSS! I am SUCH an album junkie! I really believe in professional books.

Here's some photos of Beth & David's beaaauutiful parent albums! (The red book is a studio sample for me. But I threw it in there because I was also photographing product shots for *MY NEW WEBSITE!* You heard right! NEW WEBSITE! Coming early 2008!)

These are the leather matted parent albums in ebony ostrich leather. I love these because when I open the box, the smell of fine, rich leather hits you in the face! It's great. The padded leather covers feel so nice.

Jane, Chris, Katie & Ellie-Family Portraits

So today, I got to spend some time with a really fun family! Chris is in the Army and was home for two weeks from serving in the Middle East. He goes back on Tuesday, so I wanted to rush the editing on this session so they could share this slideshow together.

Now originally, when Jane called me, she told me she was hoping the weather would hold up so that we could go to the beach. (Remember December 2004 when it was 58 degrees a few days before New Year's Eve?) Unfortunately, we got that snow storm on Thursday, so I called my great friends at the Hotel Viking, and they allowed us to use their hotel! We did brave the cold for a few outside. We'd actually said 'goodbye' and were walking to the cars, and then I spotted these great doors and I just had to do a couple in this new spot. (Which I will totally be using again with brides, couples and senior pictures!! You all know I'm constantly on the lookout for great new spots!) So watch for those at the end of the show.

Wedding Photography Visits

This weekend was dedicated to meeting with brides & grooms to talk about the possibility of me photographing their wedding. I met with tons and tons of awesome couples!! I had a great time with each and every one of you! I consider it an honor to be invited to photograph a wedding day! Thanks to all that stopped by.

Since it was ::brrrr:: so cold this weekend, I had hot apple cider and cookies ready for everyone, and a hot fire burning in the stove! So let's set a date to talk about your wedding and you can come over for all the cider and cookies you can handle!

Look at allllll those albums!

Mollie's Senior Portraits

So I thought I was all done with seniors this season, and then I met Mollie! Mollie braved a very chilly Newport November day. But I think it was worth it, because we got some great foliage. We had such a late fall this year! We started with my :signature urban: session, and found some new spots I haven't used yet this year! We even got Mollie's boyfriend, Greg, in the pictures too! Thanks for having me photograph your portraits!!

Love love love. I've shot here sooo many times, but I never saw this red wall. Goes to show you that you CAN find new shots at an old location!

Probably my favorite from the session.

Something different!!

Look at that scene! I love New England!

Salsa Dancing!!

Here's a personal blog about my life. Now that the winter is approaching, I want to do more personal blogging so you can see what I do besides photograph!!

My boyfriend, James, and I took a salsa dance lesson in Cambridge, MA earlier this fall. (Why Cambridge you say? His sister, Michelle, dances there every week.) If any of my Boston clients are interested, here's the link: http://www.rylesjazz.com/event.cfm?event_id=2935 .

These are point-and-shoot-camera pictures:

Alumni Roundtable

Hi everyone! I'm back from all the traveling I've been doing this November. I vacationed in Bermuda for a week, and it was awesome! I took a lot of images, so I'll post those soon, once I get caught up with all the work I did before vacation. I also went back to my photography school, the Hallmark Institute of Photography, in Turners Falls, Massachusetts. Hallmark invited me to be on panel of alumni to speak to the resident student body. I participated last year as well, and I was really looking forward to it again this year. I loved photo school, and I love going back!! Here's a photo from their website: www.hallmark.edu

I'm in black, third seat from the right of the photo. This is so much fun! It was a great and comedic panel. This year's class is so talented and into school, I can't wait to see the work they produce.

Catherine & Charlie. Narrangasett Towers Wedding. October 19th, 2007.

Catherine and Charlie were married at The Towers in Narragansett on October 19th. The rain cleared for us to take some formals outside!! Being inside the towers makes me feel like I'm in a Colorado cabin spa resort, but then you look outside and there's the Atlantic Ocean! You can watch Catherine & Charlie's slideshow by clicking *here*. Congratulations to the both of you! Thanks for having me!!

Love this ring shot!

I love the feel of this image.

There's a really cute series of Catherine during the ceremony in the slideshow!

Sneaky, sneaky!!! They didn't know I was watching them from inside.
