Lauren and Matt are getting married next May. (I'm very excited because it the cherry blossoms should still be on the trees!!) Lauren and Matt are a fun, easygoing couple. I think we moved this appointment around about 3 or 4 times because it kept raining on our day!! So we finally got together, and did one of my signature urban sessions, + some sunset stuff at the beach.
So funny story....there's a parking lot behind the alley that you have to pay to park in. But usually, we're only in the area for about 20 minutes, so I told Lauren & Matt not to bother paying for the few minutes we'll be there. So I'm taking this picture of them, and through the camera, I can see the parking-ticket-writer-people walking up the alley behind them. I go, "Uhhh ok, those are the people we are looking out for. Let's go to the beach!!"

Irina & Michael. Bristol Yacht Club Wedding. October 6th, 2007
Irina & Michael met during a salsa dance class. Everyone at their reception had a great time latin dancing the night away! Michael's best man gave a great toast. I love good toasts! Of course there's a slideshow. You can view it by clicking HERE.
I love shoes and I love beautiful shiny hardwood floors!
That's Irina's bouquet on her shoes....see the heels?
I love this.
Some rocking golden light.
Pretty yellow trees.
Probably my favorite photograph from the wedding.
...but I really like the pier ones, too!!
Thank God for f1.8.
No Photoshop here!!! Some crazy fog moved in right at sunset.
Fun best man toast!!

Trash The Dress #1 (Samantha)
What the heck is "Trash The Dress" you say? "It's about creation, not destruction". -trashthedress.com. TTD is a new thing that's hitting the wedding industry! After you get married (or before for some brides) you get back into your dress and go out either by yourself, or with your husband, and have a nice long, portrait session. You jump in the ocean, roll around in the sand, pose in some urban-esque locations and just have fun. You come out with some amazing imagery that you would never be able to accomplish on your actual wedding day. TTD creates some totally original and unique art. Most dresses can be sent to the dry cleaner or even, flipped inside out and tossing in the washing machine twice on the gentle cycle! (Both Samantha & Ali put their gowns in the washing machine and they came out fine!! They went out and got new dresses to wear for their TTDs)
Note to my 2005, 2006 & 2007 brides: If you are interested in a TTD session with me, you will receive 50% off the session fee. ($55 dollar value)
If you are interested in more information about TTD, you can contact me, or visit the official site: trashthedress.com Photographers from all over the world contribute to this blog-style website!
So here's Samantha, who made quite a long trip to come and see me! We lucked out with a really great find in the back of the alley, and got an awesome full moon. I've wanted to blog about this for sooooo long!
This moon is 100% natural. This IS NOT Photoshop!!!
A little off-camera light!
